SIXPENCE SET TO PERFORM "Kiss Me" ON "LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN" AND "DONNY & MARIE"

SIXPENCE'S SALES CLIMB WITH #1 BOX OFFICE OPENING OF MIRAMAX'S "SHE'S ALL THAT"

LOS ANGELES, CA--February 5, 1999--Sixpence None the Richer will be performing their multi-format hit, "Kiss Me," live on the February 9 (Tuesday night) broadcast of "Late Night With Conan O'Brien." The nationally televised program airs on NBC at 12:35 AM (Eastern). Sixpence has also been confirmed to perform the song for the February 16 (Tuesday) edition of the nationally syndicated program, "Donny & Marie."

"Kiss Me" is the lead single from the band's self-titled, Grammy-nominated album available on Squint Entertainment. As the featured song from the Miramax motion picture, SHE'S ALL THAT, "Kiss Me" is receiving mass exposure from the box office's current #1 film. The song is featured prominently, having a strong presence in three separate segments of the movie. While a "Kiss Me" remix is showcased midway through the film, a new instrumental version performed by Stewart Copeland is presented during the final scenes. And as the movie's closing credits begin to roll, the "Kiss Me" single kicks in.

Movie trailers for SHE'S ALL THAT, featuring "Kiss Me," debuted on Christmas day. The "high school romantic comedy" starring Freddie Prinze, Jr. (I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER 1 & 2) and Rachael Leigh Cook (THE HOUSE OF YES) opened #1 at the box office last weekend drawing an estimated $16.8 million.

Meanwhile, VH1 continues to spotlight the "Kiss Me" video as part of their "Inside Track" series, recently moving the clip up into medium rotation, and airing a news feature on the band. This weekend, MTV's "120 Minutes" will broadcast the video for the second consecutive time. M2, JBTV, and The Box continue to increase airplay as well. "Kiss Me" is currently the #2 most requested video on The Box.

"Kiss Me" continues to climb multiple charts; the song is now #20 at Billboard's Adult Top 40 and #16 at Billboard Monitor's Modern AC. Meanwhile, the latest issue of R&R has "Kiss Me" making its CHR/Pop chart debut at #47, while the single moves up to #14 on the Pop Alternative chart and #14 at Hot AC.

The increased radio airplay and the recent exposure in SHE'S ALL THAT are having an immediate impact on the sales of Sixpence's self-titled album. Their Squint debut re-entered Billboard's Heatseekers album chart two weeks ago, and climbs to #40 according to the trade's latest issue. Also in Billboard's February 13 edition, "Kiss Me" (Squint/Columbia) debuts at #41 on their Hot 100 Singles Sales chart, and re-enters the overall Hot 100 at #91.

"Kiss Me" was recently featured on "Dawson's Creek" (WB), "The Young and The Restless" (CBS), NBC's Movie of the Week, "Vanished Without a Trace" and will soon be heard on "Party of Five" (Fox) and "Cupid" (ABC).
